Mohican Outdoor School received $500 from both the Bicentennial Commission and Longaberger Baskets to erect a historical marker on Bunker Hill Road near the school. The marker describes Hemlock Falls on one side and the ancient Groveport River on the other. Hemlock Falls is owned by the school and has been known as a unique natural landmark since ancient times. It is a geological and biological study site that includes rare and endangered species. Bunker Hill Road was a river bed of the Groveport River that flowed into the Teays River several million years ago.
