Title: Resident Environmental Education - One Semester Credit

Workshop Purpose:

To provide a meaningful first-hand experience of resident outdoor/environmental education for the certified classroom teachers who bring their students to Mohican Outdoor School. By participating in a hands-on education session with their own students, they will be provided with a valuable continuing study experience.

Objectives:

1.       To help plan resident outdoor/environmental education experience with the help of the Mohican staff.

2.       To prepare, teach, and evaluate at least one 2 hour class at the outdoor school. (Analyze how the class taught at           Mohican can be used back in the home school classroom.)

3.        To observe and analyze at least two classes taught by Mohican staff members.

4.        To observe and analyze the behavior of at least two students in two very different settings. (Home school and Mohican            School.)
